Qatar's Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has warned US President Donald Trump that the ongoing tensions in the Middle East could have 'dangerous consequences' for international peace and security. Qatar's state news agency reported on Saturday (March 7) night that the two leaders discussed the current situation in the Middle East over the phone.

Citing Qatari media, Saudi media reported that the two leaders reviewed the regional situation in the context of Iran's continuous attacks on Qatar and other countries in the Gulf region.

During the discussion, the Qatari Emir emphasized the need to bring the ongoing crisis under control and strengthen diplomatic efforts to stop the conflict. He warned that if the tensions continue, the consequences could be dangerous for international security.

In the phone conversation, the two leaders emphasized the need for joint efforts to maintain regional and international stability. They also mentioned supporting a political solution to reduce tensions and avoid new conflicts.
