Iran has claimed to have launched a massive drone strike on US military bases in Kuwait. In a statement broadcast on state television on Friday (March 6), it said that in the past few hours, drone units of the Iranian army's ground forces have carried out targeted strikes on US bases in various areas of Kuwait.

The statement also said that this is just the beginning of the operation. Larger attacks may be carried out in the coming hours. Iran claims that this drone operation was launched in retaliation for attacks on the Iranian mainland and navy by the US and Israel.

For the past few days, Tehran has been warning that neighboring countries whose territories the US is using to launch military strikes against Iran will also be at risk of retaliation. It is believed that Iran has used a large number of 'kamikaze' or suicide drones to target the Kuwaiti bases.

The incident put US military installations in Kuwait and neighboring countries on high alert. Earlier, four people, including a child, were killed when missile debris fell on Kuwait.

However, the Pentagon has not yet released any detailed information on the extent of damage caused by the attack on the Kuwaiti bases.
