Zimbabwe shocked by losing to two champions, exited before the semis

The Zimbabwe cricket team performed brilliantly in the group stage of the current edition of the T20 World Cup. Zimbabwe defeated Oman, former two world champions Australia and Sri Lanka in three matches in the group stage.
However, the Ireland-Zimbabwe match was abandoned due to rain. Zimbabwe made it to the Super Eights with 7 points in the group stage. But the Sikandar Raja-led team was eliminated before the semi-finals after losing three consecutive matches against the West Indies, India and South Africa in the Super Eights.

Chasing the target, South Africa secured a convincing victory by 5 wickets with 13 balls in hand. With this victory, the Proteas got the maximum 6 points from three matches in the Super Eights. Dewald Brabs scored 42 runs off 18 balls with the help of two fours and 4 sixes in the team's victory.
Zimbabwe, which started its mission with a victory in this edition of the T20 World Cup, ended its mission today with a defeat against South Africa.
