Considering the overall situation, the Cricketers Welfare Association of Bangladesh (CWAB) has withdrawn from the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) boycott in the interest of cricket. This information was given in a release on Thursday (January 15) night.
This afternoon, the organization announced the ongoing BPL boycott demanding the resignation of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Director M Nazmul Islam. As a result, two matches of the first day of the Dhaka phase of the BPL have been postponed.
Chittagong Royals and Noakhali Express were scheduled to face each other in the first match of the Dhaka phase at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur at 1 pm on Thursday. The second match of the day between Rajshahi Warriors and Sylhet Titans was scheduled to take place at 6 pm. But due to controversial comments, the cricketers have decided to boycott this match as well, demanding Nazmul's resignation.
