US President Donald Trump is trapped in a submarine after starting an invasion of Iran. Although he wants to end this war in various ways, Tehran is not being flexible. Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei's country wants to fight to the end. In this situation, Trump is asking for help from allied countries, but no one is interested in going to war against Iran. Even the Western military alliance-NATO is not responding to the US president's call.

Trump has asked NATO allies for help in opening the Strait of Hormuz, known as the world's energy transport corridor, from Iranian control. One by one, everyone is rejecting his demand.

In a new blow for Trump, Germany's Foreign Minister has expressed doubts about NATO's role in reopening the Strait of Hormuz.

The US president has asked for help from 'about seven' countries to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. He warned NATO that if allies refused to help the US open the sea route — which has been under Iranian control since the start of the war — the alliance would face a “very bad future.”

“I don’t see that NATO has made any decisions on this or can take responsibility for the Strait of Hormuz,” Foreign Minister Johan Väderful said in Brussels on Monday (March 16). “If that were the case, the relevant NATO bodies would have taken action accordingly.”

The US-Iran war has caused extreme chaos in air traffic around the world. Numerous flights have been canceled, rescheduled and diverted as most Middle Eastern airspace is closed due to fears of missile and drone attacks. At the same time, the crisis has sent fuel prices skyrocketing.

Preparations are underway to release more than 400 million barrels of oil from the International Energy Agency's (IEA) emergency reserves to the market to prevent a sharp increase in crude oil prices since the start of the US and Israeli aggression on Iran.
