The recently concluded Women's World Cup has broken viewership records. The International Cricket Council (ICC) said on Thursday that a record number of viewers watched the first 13 one-day matches of the Women's World Cup, earning $13.88 million.

The final of the 13th edition of the women's 50-over tournament, which began in India and Sri Lanka last month, was held on November 2. India defeated Sri Lanka in the final to win the title. Eight teams participated in the tournament.

According to data jointly released by the ICC and GeoHotstar, the first 13 matches of the tournament have already reached more than 60 million viewers. This is five times more than the 2022 edition.

The ICC said that the crucial match between arch-rivals India and Pakistan in Colombo on October 5 was watched by 28.4 million viewers. This is a record for women's international cricket.
