Neymar’s former teammate in Hong Kong team against Bangladesh

Hong Kong will play two matches against Bangladesh in the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers this month. Bangladesh will host Hong Kong at the Dhaka National Stadium on October 9. Then, the return leg of the two teams will meet on October 14. However, that match will be hosted by Hong Kong on their soil.
Hong Kong announced a 25-member squad for these two upcoming matches against Bangladesh on Friday (October 3). The team includes at least 5 footballers who were born in Brazil. Hong Kong has also included footballers of Bolivia, Germany, New Zealand, Cameroon, and Japanese descent.
The name discussed in this team is Dudu. Brazilian superstar Neymar Jr. once played under his leadership at the age-appropriate level. Both grew up together in the Santos academy. Although this centerback did not get much opportunity to play in the club's senior team. Dudu made his international debut in the Hong Kong jersey last year. He has played three matches so far.
The most experienced of the Brazilian-born footballers is Fernando Augusto. He has been playing for Hong Kong since 2022. The left-back has scored one goal in 23 matches. Everton Camargo can be a terror for Bangladesh. This winger has scored 10 goals in 19 matches since his debut in 2023. He also scored a goal against Fiji last September.
Juninho and Stefan Pereira made their debuts last year. Both have become reliable names in the attack. Juninho and Stefan have played 22 matches. Matthew Elliott is the highest scorer among the players called up. This New Zealand-born forward has scored 11 goals in 42 matches since 2021.
