Modern medical science says that if you eliminate three habits, it is possible to connect longevity with health.
Who doesn't want to live a long and healthy life? However, some habits put us in danger. If you eliminate three such habits, it is possible to connect longevity with health, says modern medical science. And that is why people are currently emphasizing their lifestyle habits to stay healthy. Brian Johnson is a well-known biohacker. He has spoken in detail about this. But before that, let's find out what a biohacker is.
The word 'biohacking' originally comes from 'biology' and the word 'hacking' has been added to it. Simply put, biohacking is an attempt to improve one's body and brain through science, technology, and habits. Biohackers usually look for ways to increase the body's performance and lifespan with the help of diet, sleep, exercise, meditation, supplements, or technology. Some even monitor changes inside the body by changing genes or using advanced devices.
Tech entrepreneur-turned-biohacker Brian Johnson's main goal in life is now to see what factors can be given importance to increase human lifespan. That is why he follows a strict routine of daily food, exercise, supplements and therapy. Not only that, but this businessman spends billions of dollars a year trying to reverse aging.
However, to have a long and healthy life, Brian completely stays away from some habits. In a recent podcast, he said that he never smokes, exercises daily and keeps himself away from 'doom scrolling' on his phone.
Brian said, we have become accustomed to bad habits. Society has made us in such a way that it seems normal to stay up late or keep our eyes on the screen before going to sleep. But we have to fight against this culture. I have made some rules for myself, because if I get the chance, I can make bad decisions.
Below are three habits of Brian Johnson, which he never does—
1. Smoking
According to Brian, smoking causes permanent damage to the lungs and reduces breathing capacity. According to ‘Healthline’, smoking introduces tar, toxic substances and carbon monoxide into the lungs, which causes inflammation in the tissues and destroys the air sacs. This increases the risk of coughing, infections and even lung cancer.
2. Not exercising
Brian says that not exercising is the second worst thing for the body.
According to ‘MedlinePlus’, not exercising regularly weakens bones, reduces metabolism and reduces immunity. On the other hand, regular exercise keeps the body strong and active.
3. Stress and ‘Doom Scrolling’
Brian believes that it is important to stay away from excessive stress and ‘doom scrolling’.
According to ‘Healthline’, doom scrolling has a negative effect on the brain and increases stress levels. It also causes physical problems like anxiety, depression, headaches, sleep problems and fatigue.
