Model-actress Ridhika’s hanging body recovered

Actress Ridhika Ridhi's body has been recovered from a residential area in the capital.

She was recovered hanging from a ceiling fan around 6 am on Saturday. She was then taken to Kurmitola General Hospital, where doctors declared her dead. Bhatara Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mazharul Islam confirmed the matter to the media. The police's initial suspicion is that it could be a suicide.

However, an investigation and legal process are underway to confirm the actual cause of death.

Bhatara Police Station OC Mazharul Islam said that Ridhi was recovered from a house in Bashundhara residential area around 6 am on Saturday. Upon receiving the information, the police went to the spot and rescued her and took her to Kurmitola General Hospital. There, doctors declared her dead.

Mazharul Islam said, upon receiving the information, we went to Kurmitola Hospital and found her body. Currently, her mother and family members are at the police station. According to the information given by them, Ridhi was in a love relationship with someone. This morning, there was an argument with the person on a video call. At one point, Ridhi committed suicide while on a video call. We are filing a case based on the family's complaint.

Police said that the incident is being investigated. Information is also being taken from Ridhi's family members. At the same time, the relationship between her and the person and what happened between them before her death is also under investigation.
