Who is this year’s Miss World Bangladesh?

Samanzar Sayeed has been selected as Miss World Bangladesh 2026 in a grand ceremony. And on Saturday (July 11), the winner's crown was placed on her head. She will represent Bangladesh at the upcoming 75th Miss World Festival.

This competition was organized keeping in mind the main philosophy of Miss World, 'Beauty with a Purpose'. Azra Mahmud, founder of Azra Mahmud Talent Camp and National Director of Miss World Bangladesh, delivered the welcome speech at the event. She said that the journey of this initiative started with the aim of making young people skilled through modeling and presenting, and already many from different batches of the organization are working successfully in the country's showbiz arena.

The judges for this year's competition were Miss Universe Bangladesh 2019 Shirin Akhter Shila, Miss World Bangladesh 2019 Rafa Nanjiba Torsa, Fashion and Textile Expert Sheikh Saifur Rahman, Star Lifestyle Editor Mehrin Afroz Chowdhury and Miss International Bangladesh 2024 Efa Tabassum.

After going through various stages, five contestants Ayesha Rahman, Yukta Bhowmik, Labiba Manjur, Samanjar Saeed and Swagata Saha Oishee made it to the grand finale. The contestants impressed the judges with their confident and mature answers in the question-and-answer session in the final round.

Finally, when the winners were announced, Samanjar Saeed won the crown of Miss World Bangladesh 2026. Swagata Saha Oishee became the first runner-up and Labiba Manjur became the second runner-up. The 75th Miss World Festival will begin on August 9 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The grand finale of the competition will be held on September 5, where the new Miss World Bangladesh, Samanjar Sayeed, will participate for Bangladesh.
