SA Siddique Saju, convener of Darus-Salam Thana BNP in the capital, has been expelled from all levels of the party, including the primary membership, for going beyond the party's decision to contest as an independent candidate from the Dhaka-14 constituency in the 13th National Parliament election. Saju is the son of former BNP MP late SA Khaleque.

A press release signed by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Wednesday (January 14) evening informed about Saju's expulsion from the organization.

Earlier, Saju met BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman with his family on Monday (January 12). Later, he shared the picture of that meeting on his Facebook page. The party took this organizational action against Saju just two days later.

The notice said that Darussalam Thana BNP convener SA Siddique Saju has been expelled from all levels of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), including the primary member position, for violating party decisions and engaging in anti-organizational activities.
