Cockroach Janata Party withdraws protest

The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has announced that it will immediately withdraw its protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar following the resignation of Indian Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The announcement was made at a joint press conference on Saturday (July 25) evening and requested the protesters to return home. Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation was the main demand of the CJP.

CJP spokespersons Saurabh Das and Ashutosh Ranka and Union Ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh were present at the press conference. The CJP said that they are ending the protest in 'good faith', relying on the government's assurance.

The CJP said that along with Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation, the government has also accepted their other demands. These include withdrawal of the police case against the students, not harassing them in future and providing maximum compensation as per the rules to the families of the students who committed suicide in the NEET question paper leak case.

After 36 days of protests, the CJP has called on all protesters to peacefully leave the protest site and return home, as the government has accepted their demands.
