If you get married in the Emirates, you will get financial assistance.
The Al Habtoor Group of the United Arab Emirates has announced an incentive for marriage. If an Emirati citizen working in the company gets married, he will be given 50 thousand dirhams (1.6 million 64 thousand taka). And if he gives birth to a child, this financial assistance will be doubled within two years.
Dubai billionaire Khalaf Al Habtoor made this announcement in a post on the social media X. He wrote, 'Getting married and starting a family is not just a personal matter, but it is a social and national responsibility. Because the nation is built through the family and the society survives. Our government does not lack in supporting young people at the beginning of their family life. However, real initiatives are needed from everyone to encourage Emirati citizens to get married and start a family.'
'With that in mind, I announce that if any Emirati young man or woman working in the Al Habtoor Group gets married this year, he will be given 50 thousand dirhams in assistance. "This support will be doubled after the birth of each child in the next two years," he added.
The population of the Emirates will reach 11.5 million in 2025. Of this, 15 percent are estimated to be citizens of the country. The federal and local governments have been providing financial support to citizens through various programs. Various initiatives are also being taken to increase their role in the public and private sectors.
In 2025, a mass wedding was organized in Qasr Al Hosn, Abu Dhabi, with 101 grooms. This is a reflection of the government's initiatives to strengthen social cohesion, ensure stability in Emirati families and make it easier for young people to get married.
The previous year, in 2024, another mass wedding was organized in Umm Al Quwain with several Emirati couples. These initiatives are being taken as part of reducing wedding costs and encouraging the culture of group marriage. Khalaf Al Habtoor, head of the Al Habtoor Group, has been playing an active role in various social, cultural and related issues of Emirati citizens for a long time. He expressed hope that a law will be enacted by October 2025 to encourage locals to marry before the age of 30.
He said that those who refrain from marriage without any reasonable reason should be held accountable, as it is a question of the survival and solidarity of society.
Al Habtoor Group employs thousands of people, including both Emirati citizens and expatriates. The company's activities are spread across various sectors, including education, hospitality, construction, automotive and real estate.
