While speaking to reporters at the G7 summit in France, standing next to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, US President Donald Trump said that the agreement between the US and Iran is not yet final. He also threatened to bomb Iran again if the deal is not liked.
According to a report by NDTV on Wednesday (June 17), Trump made these comments just two days before the US and Iran are preparing to sign a memorandum of understanding to end their months-long war.
Trump said, "It's a memorandum of understanding. And if I don't like it or they don't behave properly, we'll start attacking again, we'll drop a bomb right in their heads."
However, Trump called the US-Iran deal to be signed next Friday very strong. He said, "Nobody knows what it is, but it's very strong." He also said that the markets are in a good mood on such news of the agreement.
He also said that the Strait of Hormuz will be fully opened in a day or two. Trump said, "What's really exciting is that the stock market is going crazy. It's skyrocketing. And the price of oil is going down. That speaks volumes."
