Those who call the budget anti-people cannot be friends of the people, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has said. He made these comments at a family card distribution program in Srimangal on Wednesday (June 17).
The Prime Minister said that family cards will be delivered to all female tea garden workers within the next one year. To take the country forward, both men and women must work together. It is not possible to move women forward if they cannot be self-reliant.
Stating that the government's goal is to change the fate of the people, he said that scholarships have been given to 150 tea workers' children in Srimangal. 4 million farmer cards will be given in the next one year. BNP wants to stand by the people of the country. The 50-bed hospital in the upazila will be upgraded to 100 beds in the next 5 years.
He also said that the budget has been given to change the fate of the people, but one party says that it is an anti-people budget. Those who call the Jana Bandhan budget anti-people cannot be friends of the people. We must be aware and united against those who mislead the people.
Tarique Rahman said, every time people got the opportunity to vote, they made BNP win. To continue the development of the country, the people have to remain united. If the people are united, no one can destroy democracy. All the strength of BNP is the people. If 400 million hands of 200 million people are used, it is possible to build the Bangladesh of our dreams.
He said, a party had laundered the people's money abroad instead of giving it to the people. We will not allow people's money to be laundered, people's work will be done with people's money. Action will be taken against those who want to launder money abroad.
