Research on all kinds of dangerous diseases was conducted in 120 dangerous labs around the world, the US was behind it

The US has historically funded more than 120 biological laboratories (bio-labs) in more than 30 countries around the world, former US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has claimed. She made this information citing some newly released documents.
A statement from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) said that most of these laboratories were conducting research on highly dangerous and highly infectious germs or pathogens.
This included the highly controversial ‘gain-of-function’ (artificial research to increase the effectiveness and infectivity of viruses or germs) experiments. Gabbard alleged that these complex studies were conducted with very minimal or no oversight.
“ODNI will continue to work closely with other government partners to identify where these labs are located and what pathogens they contain. We want to stop this dangerous gain-of-function research, which poses a major threat to the health and safety of the American people and the world,” Tulsi Gabbard said in a statement.
US intelligence agencies claim that more than 40 laboratories in Ukraine were involved in working with pathogens from former Soviet-era biological warfare. The documents state that these labs were involved in research on highly infectious pathogens (particularly dangerous pathogens or EDPs) such as anthrax, Ebola, MERS, SARS and plague.
The statement cites the Kherson Diagnostic Laboratory in Ukraine as an example. The laboratory received $1.728 million in US funding while its approval to work with certain pathogens was “in process.”
Following the release of this intelligence, US President Donald Trump has ordered a complete halt to US federal funding for ‘gain-of-function’ research around the world.
