BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Tariq Rahman said, we have already said that BNP's politics is for the people and that is why we have started the canal digging program to stand by the farmer brothers. At the same time, we said before the election, we want to give a one-time facility of two and a half thousand rupees to the farmer brothers to buy seeds and pesticides and we will give it through the farmer card, Inshallah.

He said this at a road meeting after inaugurating Patali Canal re-excavation program in Cox's Bazar on Saturday (June 13) morning.

The Prime Minister said, as I said earlier, our politics is for the people of Bangladesh. We know that 70 to 80 percent of people in villages and towns in Bangladesh are working. Half of the population of Bangladesh is women, the country's leader Khaleda Zia has provided free education to these women. If these women are not self-reliant, they will not be able to stand next to men and Bangladesh will not be able to move forward. For that reason, the current government has announced that the education of these women up to graduation and degree will be free. Not only that, we will also give stipend to those who do good, we have also put in place that system.

Earlier, the US-Bangla Airlines flight carrying the Prime Minister landed at Cox's Bazar airport at 10 am. The Prime Minister with his wife Dr. Zubaida Rahman is there.

Tarek Rahman will inaugurate 25 crore tree plantation program across the country by planting trees in Masumghat reserved forest after the inauguration of Patli Canal re-excavation program. After that, he will visit the grave of Shahid Wasim of Cox's Bazar who was killed in the July uprising and meet his family members. Besides, Pekua Municipality and the new Matamuhuri Upazila will participate in the foundation stone laying and inauguration ceremony of the infrastructural activities.

Politically, the most discussed event of the tour is going to be the public meeting at Chakaria Municipal Bus Terminal Ground. The Prime Minister is scheduled to speak as the chief guest at the rally to be held in the afternoon. A lot of enthusiasm is being noticed among the local BNP leaders and activists around this program.

He will visit Cox's Bazar beach and Marine Drive area in the last part of the day. Later, he will attend a gathering and address the representatives of various classes and professions. After the scheduled program, the Prime Minister is scheduled to return to Dhaka by air at night.
