Bangladesh gifts 1,750 kg mangoes to 360 Nepalese dignitaries

As a diplomatic gesture of goodwill and goodwill, the Bangladesh Embassy in Kathmandu gifted Bangladesh's finest and most delicious mangoes to Nepalese dignitaries. More than 1,750 kg of high-quality Bangladeshi mangoes were sent as gifts to Nepalese dignitaries, senior government officials, ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps, business leaders, and civil society representatives residing in Kathmandu.

The press release said that under this year's 'Season's Best Compliments' initiative, the embassy team delivered mango packets to more than 360 dignitaries, including the President, Speaker, and members of the Cabinet of Nepal.

The mangoes were freshly harvested from two orchards in Chapainawabganj, known as the mango capital of Bangladesh. Ensuring quality and freshness, they are sent to Kathmandu. The popular ‘Khirshapat’ variety, which has a local GI certificate, is widely appreciated and praised as one of the most delicious mangoes in South Asia.

This initiative is a reflection of the long-standing friendship and close people-to-people ties between Bangladesh and Nepal. This goodwill gift serves as a symbol of warmth, goodwill and diplomatic goodwill to further strengthen the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.
