Brazil will face Morocco in their first match of the 2026 World Cup. The match will start at 4 am Bangladesh time on Sunday (June 14). Morocco, who reached the semi-finals by defeating Spain and Portugal in the 2022 World Cup, will enter the field with the aim of making a surprise again. However, on paper and in writing, five-time world champions Brazil are ahead in this match.
Although the Seleção will not have star forward Neymar due to injury, head coach Carlo Ancelotti can still enter the field with a strong XI. Vinicius Junior will be the team's main hope in attack.
Lucas Paqueta can play in the XI in Neymar's absence. Bruno Guimaraes will partner Casemiro in defensive midfield. Marquinhos, Gabriel Magalhães, Danilo and Alex Sandro will be in defense. Rafinha, Paqueta and Vinicius Junior will handle the midfield. Matheus Cunha will play as a striker. Alisson Becker will also be the goalkeeper.
Meanwhile, the Moroccan team is also suffering from injury problems. One of the team's best center-backs, Nayef Aguirre, is not in the eleven due to a pubalgia problem. Issa Diop and Chadi Riyad may be seen in his place.
On the other hand, Nousair Mazraoui is suffering from a shoulder injury, so there are concerns about his game. In addition, Eze Abdeslam has injured his knee ligaments, which may keep him out of the field for the entire group stage.
Brazil's probable starting XI against Morocco:
Goalkeeper: Alisson Becker
Defenders: Danilo, Marquinhos, Gabriel Magalhaes, Alex Sandro
Midfielders: Casemiro, Bruno Guimaraes
Attacking midfielders: Rafinha, Lucas Paqueta, Vinicius Junior
Striker: Matheus Cunha
