The ongoing tension in the Middle East has intensified. Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed that it has launched new missile and drone attacks targeting various military installations in Israel and the United States. They have claimed attacks on several countries including Kuwait, Iraq and Bahrain. Meanwhile, air defense systems have been activated in some places and warning sirens have been sounded.

Al Jazeera reports that Iran has launched an attack on a US military base in Kuwait. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said that four missiles were fired at the headquarters of US forces in the Middle East. It is claimed that two of the missiles were fired at the Camp Arifjan base in Kuwait.

The IRGC also said that it has launched its 37th round of attacks on various US installations in Israel and the Middle East. They claimed that the ‘super-heavy Khorramshahr’ missiles were used as part of a multi-stage and continuous attack that lasted for more than three hours.

In a statement published by the Fars News Agency, the IRGC said that it had targeted the Hayla satellite communications center south of Tel Aviv for the second time. It also claimed that military installations in Beer Yaqub, West Jerusalem and Haifa were attacked.

The statement also said that the Iranian armed forces had also carried out intense attacks on the US base in Erbil, Iraq, and the headquarters of the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet in Manama, the capital of Bahrain.

The IRGC said that such ‘targeted and powerful attacks’ would continue until their goals were achieved. The statement said that ‘in this war, we only think of the complete surrender of the enemy.’

In the meantime, a drone was shot down in the Iraqi city of Erbil. A video there showed multiple drones flying in the sky over the city and then drone debris falling over the city.

Meanwhile, airstrike warning sirens have sounded in Bahrain. The country's interior ministry later urged residents to quickly seek shelter in nearby safe areas. The ministry said in a post on X that the warning sirens had been sounded.

Meanwhile, a drone was reported to have fallen on a house in the Al Jihad area of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. An Iraqi security source told Al Jazeera Arabic that there were no immediate reports of casualties in the incident.

A few hours earlier, Iraqi security sources also reported that a drone targeting a US military installation near the airport in the Kurdish city of Erbil in northern Iraq had been shot down.

Meanwhile, the United Arab Emirates said its air defenses were active against missiles and drones from Iran. The country's Ministry of Defense said that the explosions heard in the country are mainly the result of air defense systems intercepting these missiles and drones.
