On the seventh day of the unequal war imposed on Iran by the genocidal Israel and its allies, Washington announced a major success on Friday (March 6). The US administration claimed to have significantly reduced Iran's capabilities through a massive attack.

At a press conference with US Central Command (Centcom) commander Admiral Brad Cooper at the US Central Command (Centcom) headquarters in Tampa, Florida on Thursday (March 5), US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said that if Iran thinks Washington cannot keep up the pace of the attack, they have miscalculated.

He said that Iran hopes that we will not be able to continue this, which is a huge miscalculation for Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

He added that there is no shortage of American willpower. The US offensive and defensive weapons stockpiles will enable the attack to be “continued until the US objectives are achieved.”

He noted that ballistic missile attacks on US forces have decreased by about 90 percent and drone strikes by 83 percent compared to the first day of the attack.

Hegseth said that US forces have carried out “devastating and precise strikes” in the early days of the attack. According to him, these attacks have rendered a large part of the Iranian navy “inoperative”, missile launch sites have been disabled and airspace has been established in areas where US forces operate.

He said that in terms of our capabilities, we have only just begun the fight and are doing it to the fullest. He added that the amount of combat power that the US and Israel can currently use against Iran is many times greater than it is now.

US jet shot down: Hegseth denies reports that Iran shot down a US F-15 Eagle Strike fighter jet, saying Tehran is spreading disinformation. He said Iran is doing everything it can to spread lies, deception and exaggerate numbers and facts, with the main goal of spreading propaganda to its own people.

Admiral Cooper said that US military power in the region is growing and Iran's capabilities are declining. He said that our air superiority allows us to strike at the core of Iranian power with great force and capability.

According to Cooper, US bombers have hit about 200 targets inside Iran, including areas around Tehran, in the past 72 hours. He said that just an hour ago, US B-2 bombers dropped dozens of 2,000-pound penetrator bombs on underground ballistic missile launchers.

He said US forces have carried out a massive attack on Iranian naval assets, sinking or destroying more than 30 Iranian ships in the war.

Next phase target: missile production center

Cooper said the next phase of the attack would be to destroy Iran's missile production capacity. He said we are not just hitting what they have, we are also destroying their ability to rebuild.

Noting that the effort will "take some time" to succeed, he said US forces have "sufficient supplies" to continue the attack.
