The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), the world's most popular and successful mixed martial arts (MMA) organization, will host a UFC fight on the White House grounds on US President Donald Trump's 80th birthday in 2026. This is the first time such a fight will be held at the White House in US history.
Trump made the announcement in a speech at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Virginia on Sunday. In his speech to members of the Navy, Trump said, "We will host a big UFC fight on the White House grounds on June 14."
Earlier in August, UFC chief Dana White said that the fight would be held at the White House on July 4 next year, the 250th anniversary of the United States' independence. However, it has been decided that the fight will be held on Trump's birthday on June 14 next year. We will start preparing the 'White House card' from the beginning of next year. This will be the biggest fight card in UFC history.
The popular mixed martial arts UFC fights take place in an eight-cornered ring called the Octagon. The sport is hugely popular among young people, despite controversy over its violent nature and risk of injury.
