US President Donald Trump has announced that Israel has agreed to withdraw troops from Gaza in the first phase. At the same time, he said that the ceasefire will take effect immediately if Hamas confirms it.

Hamas has announced that it will accept some parts of the 20-point proposal made by the US President. After the independence-seeking organization's announcement, Donald Trump announced another new progress in stopping the Israeli aggression in Gaza.

In a post on the social media Truth Social on Saturday (October 4) local time, he said that Israel has agreed to withdraw troops from the valley in the first phase.

As part of the ceasefire, the White House released a map last Monday. Which shows the various boundaries of the withdrawal of Israeli troops.

Trump said that Israel has agreed to the initial withdrawal of troops within these boundaries. The US President announced that the ceasefire will take effect immediately if Hamas confirms it. He also warned that all agreements will be canceled if action is not taken quickly.

According to BBC Verify, if the ceasefire takes effect, about 55 percent of the territory in Gaza will remain under Israeli control even after the first phase of the withdrawal of troops, according to the map published by the White House.

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has expressed hope that he will be able to announce the release of hostages held in Gaza very soon. He claimed that Hamas has no other choice but to accept Trump's offer under diplomatic and military pressure. Hamas' rule in the valley will be ended quickly. Netanyahu reiterated his commitment to disarm Hamas.
