US attacks trawler off Venezuelan coast again, 4 killed

The US has attacked a trawler off the coast of Venezuela again. At least 4 people have died.

The British media BBC confirmed this information in a report on Friday (September 3).

According to the report, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth claimed that all the victims were involved in drug smuggling. In a post on the social media handle X, he threatened that the US would continue the operation until Venezuela stops drug trafficking.

On the other hand, Venezuela, Colombia and some other countries have strongly condemned and protested the attack. In addition, many international lawyers have referred to the attack as a violation of international law.

It is worth noting that this is the fourth time in the past month that the US has attacked a Venezuelan vessel. So far, 11 people have been killed.
