Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid and Democratic Party leader Yair Golan have urged Prime Minister Netanyahu to move forward with President Trump's peace plan.
In a post on X, Yair Golan wrote,
"Our collective responsibility at this time is to not allow anyone — Hamas or Netanyahu and his government — to sabotage Trump's deal."
The Democratic Party leader added that Israel must "move forward and fight with all its might" to implement the deal. In addition, a plan that frees the hostages, ends Hamas rule, and redevelops the Gaza Strip is in everyone's best interest.
Meanwhile, Lapid said he has told the US administration that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has the political support to continue the process of ending the war.
In a post on X, Lapid wrote,
“Israel must declare that it is ready to participate in negotiations led by the US president so that a deal can be finalized.”
