Norway will face Brazil at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey at 2 am Bangladesh time on Sunday in a battle to reach the quarter-finals of the World Cup.

Brazil is a five-time World Cup champion. On the other hand, Norway has played in the World Cup four times. As such, Brazil is ahead of Norway by a narrow margin.

However, Norway is ahead in the past equation of the two teams' meetings. Norway has won two of the four head-to-head matches. The remaining two matches were drawn.

The last time the two countries faced each other was in 2006. Despite being behind in the head-to-head match, the Seleção is entering the field as a favorite in the last sixteen match of this World Cup.

According to the prediction of the Optar supercomputer, Brazil has a 53.6 percent chance of winning in the scheduled 90 minutes. On the other hand, the chance of winning for Norway is estimated at 22.4 percent.

The model also estimates that there is a 24 percent chance that the match will not be decided in the scheduled time and will go into extra time.

Although Brazil has the advantage in this match due to history, experience and recent strength, previous head-to-head statistics against Norway suggest that the task will not be easy at all. In particular, Norway's goal machine Erling Haaland can easily torment the Brazilian defense.
