After netting once in each of Brazil's opening two matches, the Real Madrid forward struck twice against Scotland at Miami Stadium in the United States. Matheus Cunha added the third goal as the Selecao dominated throughout the contest.

The match also marked the long-awaited return of Neymar, who made his first appearance for Brazil in 32 months when he came off the bench in the 76th minute, although the veteran forward was unable to get on the scoresheet.

Brazil made a flying start and took the lead after just seven minutes following a costly defensive mistake by Scotland. Young winger Ryan intercepted a pass from centre-back Scott McKenna, and the loose ball fell kindly to Vinicius. The Brazilian forward kept his composure, rounded goalkeeper Angus Gunn and slotted into the empty net.

Scotland struggled to recover from the early setback and were fortunate not to fall further behind soon afterward. Vinicius thought he had scored a second goal, again capitalising on a defensive error, but the effort was ruled out following a VAR review. The referee determined that the Brazilian had committed a foul on defender Jack Hendry while winning possession.

Brazil's pressure eventually paid off again deep into first-half stoppage time. Scotland failed to clear their lines despite several opportunities, allowing Bruno Guimaraes to deliver a dangerous cross from the right. Vinicius, left completely unmarked at the far post, headed home with ease to double Brazil's advantage and give his side a 2-0 lead at halftime.

The South Americans maintained control after the break and extended their lead in the 61st minute. Matheus Cunha finished confidently to make it 3-0 and effectively put the match beyond Scotland's reach.

The loudest cheers of the evening came in the 76th minute when Neymar replaced Cunha. The former captain's return to international action after nearly three years sparked excitement among Brazilian supporters inside the stadium. Although he was unable to add his name to the scoresheet, his appearance provided another positive moment for a team already brimming with confidence.

The victory ensured Brazil finished the group stage unbeaten and as Group C winners, reinforcing their status as one of the leading contenders for the World Cup title. With Vinicius in outstanding form and Neymar back in action, the Selecao will head into the knockout rounds full of momentum.
