If all goes well, the T20 World Cup is scheduled to begin in India on February 7. Neighboring country Bangladesh will not be able to participate in the tournament due to security concerns in India.

That is why the International Cricket Council (ICC) has excluded Scotland from Bangladesh. There is still discussion and criticism about excluding the Bangladesh team from the World Cup.

However, amid this criticism, rumors have been created about the T20 World Cup being held in India. The reason is the new spread of Nipah virus in India. It is feared that the public health risk could become a major obstacle to organizing this large-scale tournament.

Indian health authorities have confirmed that at least five people in West Bengal have been infected with Nipah virus, some of whom are in critical condition. More than a hundred people have already been sent to quarantine and emergency health protocols and infection control measures have been strengthened.

Health officials have warned that if the virus spreads further, it could have a major impact on the schedule of the World Cup, the movement of teams, security measures and the attendance of spectators.

According to medical experts, if Nipah infections increase, authorities may have to change the tournament schedule or impose strict biosecurity restrictions, which will be a cause of additional concern for international teams and fans.

Sources claim that the preparations for the World Cup have already reached an uncertain and challenging stage due to the current health situation. Meanwhile, the ICC is monitoring the entire situation.
