Popular content creator Kusha Kapila and her ex-husband Joar Singh Ahluwalia ended their six-year marriage in 2023. Although various questions were raised about their separation at the time, the reason did not come to the fore. Recently, while speaking on a YouTube show, Joar openly revealed why their marriage did not last and how the separation was a decision of both of them.

According to the Indian Express, Joar said that during the Covid lockdown, he quit his permanent job and started learning video editing and shooting after seeing the rapid rise of Kusha's content creation. He said, "During the lockdown, I started learning editing and shooting and saw Kusha growing rapidly. So I understood that there is a place to work creatively here."

After the breakup, Joar also admitted that he is currently on a dating app. He said, "I am single now, I can stay on a dating app." Regarding the reason for not getting married in the present, he said, "It cannot be generalized. Many people understand that sometimes you can work as a team, and sometimes you can achieve your personal goals more if you go it alone. Many times, people realize, 'Maybe I can do better if I go it alone.'"

When asked whether a relationship fades over time, he said, "It should not happen at all. But if it does, then two people should try to restore that connection. Also, you have to be aware of prioritizing each other." Regarding the decision to break up, Joar said, "Both of us can feel when the relationship is no longer working. In our case, we sit down and discuss and realize that many things are not going well. So we decide to separate with the consent of both of us. Being honest with ourselves and our partner is the most important thing."

Incidentally, after the breakup, Kusha moved to Mumbai and started working in films. He is also successful as an entrepreneur. He started a shapewear brand and runs a restaurant with a friend.
