Bangladesh's Tanjid Hasan Tamim has set a world record against the Irish at the Birshreshtha Shaheed Fl. Lt. Matiur Rahman Stadium in Chittagong. The tiger cricketer created history by taking five catches in the fielding.

He took five catches in each of the Irish innings in the fielding match. He took important catches from Gareth Delaney, Mark Adair, Matthew Humphries, George Dockrell and Ben White. Tamim became the first fielder from a full member country of the ICC to take five catches in an international T20 match. In total, he became the third cricketer to take five catches in the outfield in T20Is. Earlier, Sweden's Sediq Sahak and Maldives' Wedage Malinda had set this record.

Ireland won the toss and elected to bat first in the series-deciding match in Chittagong. They got off to a great start in the power play with the bat of Paul Stirling, but then lost their way. In the end, the team was all out for just 117 runs in 5 balls in 19 overs. Stirling scored the highest score of 38 runs for the team.
Among the bowlers for Bangladesh, Rishad Hossain and Mustafizur Rahman both took three valuable wickets each.

In reply, Tanjid Hasan Tamim, who set a world record in fielding, also scored a fifty with the bat. Opening the innings, he scored 55 runs off 36 balls with 3 sixes and 4 fours. In this, Bangladesh surpassed the target of 118 runs set by Ireland in just 13.4 overs. And the Tigers won the series 2-1.
