Mbappe reaches Ronaldo’s rare record for Real Madrid

Cristiano Ronaldo alone held the record until now. However, Madrid's new superstar Kylian Mbappe has shared Real Madrid's record of 53 or more goals in a calendar year. The French star reached that goal milestone by scoring in a 1-1 draw against Girona in La Liga yesterday.

Mbappe had previously scored four goals in a UEFA Champions League match for Real Madrid. The former PSG star scored four goals alone against Olympiacos on November 27. Ronaldo scored four goals against Swedish club Malmo in the 2015/16 season. Mbappe also broke Ronaldo's record for the fastest hat-trick against PSG. Ronaldo completed his hat-trick in the 11th minute against Malmo. And Mbappe scored a hat-trick in just 7 minutes.
