How far can you go to buy a bag, jeans or shoes? Price, comfort, design, everything has a logic. But 2025 seems to have bid farewell to all those logics in the fashion world. This year, one after another, luxury product launches have been seen, the prices of which are eye-popping, and the designs have made many people laugh out loud on social media.

With small items costing thousands of dollars, strange ideas being labeled as 'high fashion', some fashion launches of 2025 have completely erased the line between creativity and ridiculousness. Let's take a look at the most talked about and bizarre fashion items of this year.

Has anyone ever noticed that they have two legs when buying jeans? French luxury brand Coperni gave us the opportunity to test just that. In March 2025, they launched one-legged jeans, which cost 440 dollars, which is equivalent to 54,000 taka in Bangladeshi currency.

Louis Vuitton's Summer 26 menswear show featured a three-wheeled auto rickshaw-shaped bag. As cute as it is, this bag, made to pay homage to Indian culture, is priced at an incredible $39,000, which is worth 47 lakh 78 thousand taka.

In November 2025, Prada started selling a crocheted safety pin brooch, priced at $775, which is about 95 thousand taka in Bangladeshi currency. This safety pin sparked a huge controversy, and although the item was later removed from the online store, screenshots of it went viral. One person wrote, "If the rich don't know what to do with money, the rest of us can give ideas." Many joked that a safety pin made by an Indian grandmother for 10 taka is more beautiful.

In 2024, at the Milan Fashion Show, Prada models wore Kolapuri slippers, priced at $1,500, which is about 2 lakh taka. Initially, the controversy started because there was no mention of Indian heritage. Later, Prada announced that it would bring back Indian-made Kolhapuri chappaks at a slightly reduced price of $930.

In June 2025, Lowe launched a tomato-shaped clutch bag priced at $3,950, which is more than Rs 485,000. This bag, made of a metal frame, was the talk of the internet.

Once upon a time, fashion was about stories, art, and technical expertise. But in 2025, it seems that the more bizarre the trend and the higher the price, the more ‘luxury’ it is.
