Expatriates sent 30,762 crore taka in October

In October, expatriate income or remittances came to the country at around 2,563.5 million US dollars. Which is 30,762 crore in Bangladeshi taka (120 taka per dollar).

This information was revealed from the updated report of Bangladesh Bank on Sunday (November 2). According to this, an average of 82.7 million dollars in remittances came to the country every day.

According to the update, 2,563.4 million US dollars in remittances came to the country in October. Of this, 477.8 million dollars came through state-owned banks.

In addition, 242.5 million dollars came through specialized banks, 1,838.6 million dollars through private banks, and 667 million dollars through foreign sector banks.

Last September, expatriates sent 2,685.5 million dollars in remittances to the country. In August, 242 million 18 lakh 90 thousand US dollars in remittances came into the country.
