However, in the just-ended week (October 26 to 30), turnover increased by Tk 1,481.5 crore or about 7 percent to Tk 2,286.86 crore compared to the previous week.

A review of the weekly market prices shows that shares and mutual fund units of 392 companies were traded on the DSE in the week just ended. Of these, 177 companies increased their prices, 179 decreased their prices and 36 companies remained unchanged.

Due to the decline in the prices of most shares and units, all the indices of the DSE were down last week. The main index DSEX fell by 28 points to 5,122 points. In addition, the DSE-30 index fell by 11 points to 1,988 points and the DSES index fell by 6 points to 1,083 points.
