Inflation concerns rise in September

Overall inflation in the country increased in September. At the same time, food and non-food inflation also increased.
The Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) reported this information on Monday (October 6).
The latest data from the BBS says that overall inflation in the country increased by 0.07 percent to 8.36 percent in September, compared to 8.29 percent in August.
Food inflation has also increased. Food inflation increased by 0.04 percent to 7.64 percent in September, compared to 7.50 percent in August.
Meanwhile, while overall non-food inflation was 8.90 percent in August, it increased to 8.98 percent in September. An increase of 0.08 percent.
In addition, overall inflation in rural areas increased by 0.08 percent to 8.47 percent in September. Of this, food inflation was 7.54 percent and non-food inflation was 9.40 percent.
And overall inflation in urban areas increased by 0.04 percent to 8.28 percent. Of this, food inflation was 7.94 percent and non-food inflation was 8.51 percent.
