Import-export to continue during Durga Puja holidays

The country's import-export activities will not stop even during the autumn Durga Puja holidays. As per the instructions of the National Board of Revenue (NBR), customs stations and houses will remain open even on public holidays.

This information was given in an order signed by NBR Second Secretary (Customs: Policy) Rezaul Karim on Tuesday (September 30). The order said that limited activities will continue on public holidays on October 1 and 2 to keep the country's import-export trade uninterrupted.

According to the list of government holidays, this year October 1 will be a public holiday by executive order and October 2 will be a general holiday on the occasion of Durga Puja. Then, since October 3 and 4 are Fridays and Saturdays, government employees will enjoy four consecutive days of leave.
