Dengue kills 5 more people in a day

Five more people have died in the last 24 hours due to dengue, a disease carried by Aedes mosquitoes. This has increased the death toll from the mosquito-borne disease to 283 so far this year. In addition, 1,162 more people have been admitted to hospitals with dengue in the last 24 hours. This information was given in the regular dengue report of the Directorate General of Health Services on Sunday (November 2).
The Directorate General of Health Services said that 3 people have died of dengue in the last 24 hours in Dhaka South City Corporation. In addition, during this period, a total of 2 people have died of dengue in Dhaka North City Corporation and Rajshahi division. On the other hand, the highest number of dengue patients (261) have been admitted to hospitals in Dhaka North City Corporation in the last 24 hours.
In addition, in the last 24 hours, apart from 175 people in Dhaka South City Corporation, 163 people in Barisal division, 154 in Khulna division, 108 in Chittagong division, 98 in Rajshahi division, 87 in Mymensingh division, 76 in Dhaka division, 32 in Rangpur division and 8 in Sylhet division have been admitted to hospitals with dengue.
According to the report of the Department of Health, a total of 283 people have died of dengue from January 1 to Sunday this year. Of these, the highest number of deaths (137) occurred in Dhaka South City Corporation. In addition, during this period, apart from 42 people in Dhaka North City Corporation, 40 people in Barisal division, 25 people in Chittagong division, 15 people in Rajshahi division, 12 people in Mymensingh division, 8 people in Khulna division, 3 people in Dhaka division and one person in Sylhet division have died of dengue.
