Former advisor and NCP convener of the Jatiya Nagorik Party, Nahid Islam, has alleged that many of the advisors of the interim government have formed liaisons with various political parties. He also commented that those advisors are thinking about their own safe exit.

In a recent interview with a private television, Nahid Islam said, "We made a mistake in trusting many of those who became advisors. We should have strengthened the student leadership, and gone into government together. We have been deceived where we believed in civil society and political parties or the trust we had in them."

He said, "Many advisors have arranged their own affairs or betrayed the mass uprising. When the time comes, we will also reveal their names."

Nahid Islam said, "Many have formed liaisons with various political parties. They are thinking about their own safe exit." They think that the support of political parties has kept them in power, without this support they will not be able to run the government. It is also true that political parties have put up various obstacles.

In response to the question whether the decision to appoint student leaders as advisors was wrong, the NCP convener said, this government could not have lasted even for three months without the presence of students in the government. In the first six months, various attempts were going on to overthrow the government and to carry out counter-revolution. Even now, that activity is seen from time to time. That conspiracy is going on.
