Pakistan's Army Chief General Asim Munir will visit the Iranian capital Tehran on Monday, the country's Fars news agency reported, citing Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghai.

Baghai said the visit aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation and continue Pakistan's "sincere efforts" to establish regional peace and security.

The visit of the Pakistani army chief to Tehran is seen as significant amid the recent tensions and security situation in the Middle East. This visit could be especially important in terms of communication between Iran and Pakistan on security and various regional issues.
