Iran has attacked the Al-Dhafra airbase in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The attack was carried out on Saturday (March 7) afternoon.
Iran's semi-official Tasnim News Agency reported that the country's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched a drone attack on the Al-Dhafra airbase in the United Arab Emirates. The attack damaged a US satellite communications center, warning and fire control radar.
Qatar-based media outlet Al Jazeera could not immediately verify the authenticity of the statement. The UAE has not yet commented on the matter.
The United States and Israel launched a joint attack on Iran last Saturday (February 28). The attack in the Iranian capital Tehran killed several top officials, including the country's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Iran launched a counterattack on Israel in response. In addition, Iran's Revolutionary Guards are continuing to attack various locations, including US bases, in various countries in the Middle East.
