Amid widespread protests in Iran, the Intelligence Organization of the Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has arrested a foreigner on charges of spying for the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad. This information was announced in a statement on Saturday (January 10).

The statement said that the IRGC Intelligence Organization said that the foreign citizen had come to Iran secretly to work as a spy for the Zionist government on purpose. The IRGC Intelligence Force said that while collecting intelligence and assessing the situation of terrorist activities, strong evidence of espionage was found.

According to Iran's semi-official Tasnim news agency, violent rioters on behalf of the Iranian monarchy have vandalized public and private property in several cities in Iran in the past few days. Some civilians and security forces have been killed and many others have been injured.

The report also said that violent unrest spread to several cities in Iran, damaging government buildings, private shops and even mosques. The report also said that pro-monarchy rioters vandalized government property, blocked roads, and attacked administrative buildings and police stations.
