BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman meets Pakistan High Commissioner Imran Haider.

Pakistan High Commissioner in Dhaka Imran Haider met BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman. The meeting was held at the BNP Chairperson's office in Gulshan on Friday (January 9) afternoon. BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed the matter.

Meanwhile, BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has called an emergency meeting of the party's standing committee on Friday night. The meeting is scheduled to be held at the BNP Chairperson's political office in Gulshan at 9 pm.

BNP Standing Committee member Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku confirmed this information to Channel 24. He said that the meeting will be held under the chairmanship of the party's Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.

Party sources said that in addition to discussing the current political situation in the country, Tarique Rahman may be elected as BNP chairman in this meeting on Friday.
