US troops have taken a break from the ongoing war with Iran. After a five-day vacation on the beach in Thailand after a long battle in the Mediterranean, the USS Abraham Lincoln, a massive nuclear-powered warship, set sail for duty again on Sunday (September 6), Al-Arabiya reported .
The soldiers had spent so many days just smelling gunpowder and hearing the roar of cannons. So this five-day trip to Pattaya brought a lot of fresh air to their minds. Overwhelmed by the warm welcome and love of the Thai people, the ship's chief captain, Captain Dan Keeler, thanked everyone openly.
Usually, US military personnel are sent to sea for a period of six to nine months. However, when war breaks out, the term does not work anymore! Carrying nearly 5,000 soldiers, this warship has been patrolling the sea and participating in direct fire against Iran day after day. This warship has also created a new history of floating at sea for such a long time without interruption.
Thailand is America's old and loyal friend in Southeast Asia. As the ship docked in the country's famous tourist city of Pattaya, a short distance from Bangkok, tired soldiers dressed in plain clothes and smiling faces stepped off the bus.
Having rejuvenated their bodies and minds in the comfort of the hotel and the hospitality of Thailand, they returned to their duties at sea with renewed energy.
