SAFF U-17 Championship: Bangladesh to face Pakistan in semi-finals

Pakistan lost to arch-rivals India in the group stage match of the SAFF U-17 Championship. In this, Bangladesh got the team as the opponent in the semi-finals. Earlier, Golam Rabbani Chhota's disciples defeated Nepal and Sri Lanka to reach the semi-finals.

The lineup for the SAFF U-17 semi-finals was decided after the India-Pakistan match held on Monday (September 22). Bangladesh will play against Pakistan, while India's opponent is Nepal.

India defeated Pakistan 3-2 in the 'B' group match of this tournament underway in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Despite falling behind twice and drawing twice, Pakistan could not escape the final. Although both teams have already confirmed their semi-finals.

India is the 'B' group champion with 9 points after winning all three of the three matches. Pakistan is the group runner-up with 6 points. Since Bangladesh is the 'A' group champion, they will face 'B' group runner-up Pakistan in the semi-finals.

Notably, Bangladesh and Pakistan will play in the first semi-final at the Racecourse Stadium in Colombo on the afternoon of September 25. India will face Nepal in the second semi-final in the evening. The final of the tournament will be held on September 27.
