The Bangladesh national football team will play two matches against Hong Kong next month in the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers. After the home match on October 9, Javier Cabrera's team will play the return leg on October 14 in Hong Kong. The Bangladesh team will start the preparation camp from September 29 or 30 with these upcoming two matches in mind.

Meanwhile, the country's football scene has changed after Hamza Chowdhury, who played in the English Premier League, joined the Bangladesh team. After that, Shamit Som, who played in the Canadian league, also joined the red-green tent. Therefore, there are questions in the minds of football fans about when these two expatriate star footballers will come to the country to play the Hong Kong match.

On Wednesday (September 24), the manager of the Bangladesh national football team, Amer Khan, said that Hamza Chowdhury will come to Dhaka on October 6 for the Bangladesh-Hong Kong match after playing for Leicester City against Swansea City on October 4. And a day after that, on October 7, Shamit Som will come to Dhaka.

Hamza Chowdhury made his debut in the Bangladesh jersey in a match against India in Shillong on March 25. Since then, he has played three matches for Bangladesh and scored 1 goal and 1 assist. On the other hand, Shamit Som made his debut in the Bangladesh jersey in a match against Singapore on June 10.

Bangladesh is at number 3 in the Asian Cup qualifiers with 1 point each after playing two matches. Hong Kong is at number 2 with 4 points each after winning two matches and drawing. Singapore is at the top with one more goal despite having equal points and goal difference. India is at the bottom with 1 point, equal to Bangladesh.
