After increasing the price of gold in the country for 3 consecutive times, the Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has finally reduced the price of gold. The new price of a bhoori of 22 carats has been reduced by 1,890 taka to 1,92,969 taka.

In a notification issued by BAJUS on Saturday (September 27) night, the matter of reducing the price of gold has been confirmed. Buying and selling of gold in the country will continue at the new price from Sunday (September 28).

Earlier, BAJUS had increased the price of gold in the country's market for the third consecutive time last Tuesday (September 23). At that time, the price of a bhoori of 22 carats was increased by 3,663 taka to 1,94,859 taka. Which is the highest price of this precious metal in the country's history.

According to the new price, the current price of 22 carat gold per bhori (11.664 grams) will be 1 lakh 92 thousand 969 taka. In addition, the price of 21 carat gold per bhori will be 1 lakh 84 thousand 198 taka, 18 carat gold per bhori will be 1 lakh 57 thousand 884 taka and the price of one bhori of traditional gold will be 1 lakh 31 thousand 45 taka.

So far this year, Bajus has adjusted the price of gold in the domestic market 58 times. Where the price has been increased 40 times. And the price has decreased only 18 times. On the other hand, last year, the price of gold was adjusted 62 times in the domestic market. Of these, the price was increased 35 times. In addition, the price of gold was reduced 27 times last year.
