Neymar slams mathematician who predicted Brazil would lose

After Brazil's dramatic win over Japan in the ongoing World Cup, Brazilian star Neymar has slammed German mathematician Joachim Clement on social media. Clement had made a mathematical prediction that Japan would beat Brazil in the Round of 32 and that the Netherlands would be the champions of this World Cup.
However, on Monday (June 29), the Seleção secured their place in the last 16 by beating Japan 2-1 despite falling behind in Houston. Immediately after Brazil's victory, Neymar took to social media to take a dig, writing, Mr. Joachim Clement... Please try again in the next World Cup.
Neymar's joke about Clement's wrong prediction did not stop there. A few hours later, when the Netherlands lost to Morocco in a tiebreaker and were eliminated from the World Cup, the 34-year-old forward hit the mathematician a second time and wrote an X on it, "You made a mistake again."
It should be noted that this German mathematician came to the fore by correctly determining the winners of the previous three World Cups (Germany in 2014, France in 2018 and Argentina in 2022).
While predicting this World Cup, Clement had previously stated that it is almost impossible to choose the winner accurately and that no one should take his prediction too seriously. He basically created this result through a mathematical model using several variables such as GDP per capita, population size, the position of football in society and the FIFA ranking.
Meanwhile, Brazil's all-time top scorer Neymar, who is playing his fourth World Cup, has only had the opportunity to play in one match in the current tournament as a substitute against Scotland due to injury or other reasons.
