Selena in legal trouble

Hollywood's popular singer and actress Selena Gomez is embroiled in legal trouble. Not only that. Two investment firms have also sued her mother Mandy Teefey and former business partner Daniella Pearson.
They allege that before investing in mental health startup Wondermind Global, false information was given about the company. There are even allegations that the company's huge financial losses were hidden from the two investors.
The case was filed in a Delaware court. Two companies named Wondermind SRS44 LLC and Bespoke Wondermind LLC have filed a lawsuit against Selena, her mother Mandy, Wondermind Golabre, and business partner Daniella Pearson.
The investment firm claims that in 2022, they invested about $1.2 million in 'Wondermind'. Allegedly, they were presented with a plan that seemed profitable to the two companies at the time. But it soon became clear that Selena's plans were not working out.
The company's marketing head, Selena Gomez, was accused of promising to be proactive. Her huge social media following, advertising and television presence were pitched to investors as important in promoting Wondermind.
But Selena later allegedly failed to keep her promises to move the company forward. She was even told to create a mobile app and implement various business ventures, none of which, the plaintiffs claim, were actually successful.
