Hrithik Roshan is an extraordinary dancer and actor of Bollywood. He is often called the ‘Greek God’ due to his idolized body. Recently, he said in a post that he is very focused on achieving ‘Bollywood biceps’, which is not an easy task.

The power behind Hrithik Roshan’s fitness

The ‘War 2’ actor often shares pictures of hard work, swimming and moderate meals on his Instagram handle. But the question is, who prepares such nutritious food to maintain Hrithik’s fitness even at the age of 52? Hrithik himself tagged his personal chef Shubham Vishwakarma in his post.

Shubham Vishwakarma said, ‘When a person like Hrithik sir publicly recognizes your work, it is not just a compliment; it is a recognition of regularity, hard work and honesty. I am grateful and inspired to do better.’

Shubham Biswakarma hails from Pratapgarh in the state of Uttar Pradesh. He has a keen interest in culinary arts and is very careful about each ingredient, its source and nutritional value.

“Over the years, I have become more focused on performance-driven nutrition than just taste. This has defined my path,” he says.

Before becoming Hrithik Roshan’s chef, Shubham worked in various five-star hotels, such as the Taj Hotel, and prepared food for various people. However, working for Hrithik is a completely different experience for him. He says, there is not just taste here, but also health, performance, confidentiality and consistency. It is much more intensive and challenging.

Travel and food compatibility

Shubham also travels with Hrithik as needed. Adapting to new cuisines, ingredients and a stressful schedule is now a habit for him. He says, “Hrithik Roshan’s diet is clean, balanced and conscious. Just as his lifestyle is regular and planned, so are his meals.’

He further said, ‘The main focus of his meals is digestion, energy and recovery. Each meal has a purpose – fuel, repair or longevity. The meals are simple yet made with fine and healthy ingredients, such as lean proteins, seasonal vegetables, complex carbohydrates, healthy fats.’

Hrithik’s favourite food

Shubham said that Hrithik loves simple home-cooked meals. His favourites include: Tandoori chicken, moong dal, chickpea dal, pesto pomfret, pesto chicken, bhindi bhaji, grilled salmon, paneer bhurji, mutton curry, and rosemary roast chicken.

Shubham’s day starts with planning, gathering ingredients, preparing, cooking and coordinating with a trainer or scheduler. He says, ‘Time is very important. There should be no negligence, because one's health and performance depend on it.'

Finally, he praised Hrithik and said, 'His discipline, humility and commitment to development are truly inspiring. Working with such a person motivates you to improve yourself every day.'
