The price of gold has been increased again in the country's market. This time, the Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has increased the price of a 22-carat bhori by Tk 3,675 per bhori, setting the price of a 22-carat bhori at Tk 1,89,622. This is the highest price of gold in the country's history.

BAJUS announced this information in a notification on Tuesday (September 16) night. The new price will be effective from Wednesday (September 17).

The notification said that the price of pure gold has increased in the local market. As a result, the new price of gold has been set considering the overall situation.

According to the new price, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori (11.664 grams) in the country's market has been set at Tk 1,89,622, 21-carat at Tk 1,81,02, 1,55,143 and traditional method at Tk 1,28,701.

In the notification, Bajus also said that the government-determined 5 percent VAT and Bajus-determined minimum wage of 6 percent must be added to the selling price of gold. However, the wage may vary depending on the design and quality of the jewelry.

Earlier, Bajus last adjusted the price of gold in the country's market on September 9. At that time, the organization had increased the price of a 22-carat gold bhoori by Tk 3,137 per baht and set it at Tk 1,85,947. Which was the highest price of gold in the country's history so far.

According to the new price, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori (11.664 grams) in the domestic market has been fixed at 1 lakh 89 thousand 622 taka, 21-carat at 1 lakh 81 thousand 2 taka, 1 lakh 55 thousand 143 taka and traditional method at 1 lakh 28 thousand 701 taka.

In the notification, Bajus also said that the government-determined 5 percent VAT and Bajus-determined minimum wage of 6 percent must be added to the selling price of gold. However, the wage may vary depending on the design and quality of the jewelry.
